Ian Taylor was born in Rochdale, Lancashire in 1986.  On leaving school Ian commenced his career within the fire protection industry just over 8 years ago, initially training as a designer gaining industry qualifications undertaken with the LPCB  in current British standard 12845 and British standard 9251 for Automatic Sprinkler Design and Engineering.

Since then Ian had developed the requisite skills and experience to advance to a joint Project Management & Design role.  Working as a project design engineer for one of the country’s leading sprinkler installation contractors Ian has designed and managed a range of projects within different sectors including:  Shopping Centres, Schools/Academies, Hotels, Manufacturing plants, Offices, Care Homes, Apartments and Theatres.



In 2010 Ian joined another leading fire suppression company solely as a Project Manager, leading the relevant sub-contractors and design to teams to execute sprinkler and water mist projects both within budget and programme.

In 2012 Premier Mist head hunted Ian, offering him the position of Project Design Manager.  Ian saw this as a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business with a tried and tested product and to once again be involved with the design and implementation of fire suppression systems.  In early 2014 Ian was promoted to General Manager, due to the title being more akin to the role Ian undertakes at Premier Mist.



Ian brings with him to Premier Mist extensive experience in the design of cost-effective, low-pressure water mist systems.

Ian currently has an active involvement within all aspects of our business, from tendering stage right through to project completion designing, developing and procuring the requisite products and services.  Ian also aides our marketing department by creating and maintaining our online media and assisting with exhibitions.



In January 2013 Ian played a vital role in establishing the companies QA procedures in order to gain accreditation for both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
