The DualMIST™ low-pressure water mist nozzles which Premier Mist installs are an integral proprietary feature of the fire suppression systems and are critical to performance and test accreditation.
The DualMIST™ nozzle is a patented component which uses a combination of course and fine droplets for maximum effectiveness again fast or slow fire. The technology is unique to Premier Mist’s application in the UK and Channel Islands. Each and every water mist nozzle is tested prior to dispatch to site and is further tested upon installation as part of a completed work.
The DualMIST™ nozzle range includes pendant-fixed outlets and wall mounted nozzles. The nozzles are designed and tested in accordance to British Standard DD for Water mist 8458 for residential occupancies and British Standard DD 8489 for commercial applications along with being fully-compliant to NFPA 750 2010 edition.
The DualMIST™ technologies have surpassed all their market competitiors in the fire testing of their product. The nozzle flow rates and pressures are significantly less than other water mist providers with design parameters of two systems enabling each nozzle to be spaced at 4 meter centres for residential applications and 3.6 meter for commercial applications. Flow rates range from 25 litres to 32 litres per nozzle per minute.

For comparison our standard nozzle is similar to a two pound coin in size, and can be delivered in a range of colour finishes in high-grade aluminium either polished or anodised.
Meanwhile, Premier Mist can also deliver a bespoke finish as directed by the architects plans which will enhance the over-all design of a fire suppression systems that blends in with the overall building’s aesthetic offering a discreet and pleasing design solution.
NOZZLE VERSITILITY
The DualMIST™ nozzle is unique in that the pipe adapter element of the component is detachable from the nozzle component itself, thus enabling deviations to finished ceilings to be easily addressed by the attendant Premier Mist finishing engineer.
The nozzle fits tight again finished ceilings using a small finishing escutcheon plate, provided to compensate for deviations within the build finish around the nozzle.
The finishing plate is available in a variety of colours to suit the building decor scheme.
The DualMIST™ nozzle provides a range of colour furnishings, from white to silver and from black to gold. The nozzles are manufactured from high-grade aluminium and anodised following the production process.
