Key to the Premier Mist low-pressure fire suppression system is its patented DualMIST™ Pendant Nozzle which effectively suppresses fires by the rapid cooling of surface areas and the reduction of oxygen.

Because of the speed at which water mist expands in the transition from liquid to steam, the amount of oxygen available for combustion is diluted to a level where the fire is quickly extinguished.  As the speed of heat absorption is a function of surface area and not volume, the small water mist droplets represent a large combined surface area and provide rapid heat absorption.

The system is available with wet and dry pipe systems served by a central plant source consisting of a water storage tank, pipe work, duty and standby multi-stage pumps and automatic controls which deliver the water to the mist discharge nozzles.
